9:30 to 10:15	Sentencing primer presented by Superior Court Judge Susan B. Handy and Superior Court Judge David P. Gold -- Topics to be covered include: The conviction: How do we get there? What happens next? The presentencing investigation. What happens at the actual sentencing hearing – who speaks, what’s the order? What does a judge consider at sentencing? What needs to be known about the defendant? The victim? What are sentencing factors that the Court must consider? What kinds of sentences are there?
