Sentence Review Docket

Under state law, some criminal defendants who have been convicted may ask the Sentence Review Division of the Superior Court to change their sentence. The Sentence Review Division may make the sentence longer, make the sentence shorter, change the sentence or decide that the sentence should not be changed. (Sections 51-194, 51-195 and 51-196 of the Connecticut General Statutes).

Cases on the docket may have the following information next to them:

  • Video -- This means that the applicant will not be brought to the court but will take part in the hearing by way of a video connection.
  • Transport -- This means that the applicant will be brought to the court for the hearing.
  • Off -- This means that the case was originally scheduled for this docket but there will not be a hearing on this date.
  • Continued to -- This means that the case was originally scheduled for this docket but has been postponed to the new date.
