Winsted:
Route 8 to Exit 42. Take 118 West to the center of Litchfield.
Courthouse is a gray stone building with a clock tower, located on the
town green.
From
Torrington:
Route 202 West to Litchfield center. At this point, you will be
facing the Courthouse a gray stone building with a clock tower.
From New
Milford:
Route 202 East to Litchfield center. The Courthouse is a gray stone
building with a clock tower, located on the town green.
From Goshen:
Route 63 South will bring you right in front of the Courthouse in
Litchfield center - a gray stone building with a clock tower.
From Morris
and Watertown:
Route 63 North to Litchfield center. At 4-way stop sign, turn left.
The Courthouse will be on your left - a gray stone building with a clock
tower.
From
Thomaston and Southern points:
Route 8 North to Exit 38. Route 254 West to Route 118 west to
Litchfield Center. Courthouse is on south side of Green - a gray stone
building with a clock tower.
Parking:
Free parking is available in the municipal parking lot near the
Litchfield Green. Parking is limited and is on a first-come-first-served
basis. One and two-hour spaces are also available on West Street.
Wheelchair Access
to the Litchfield JD courthouse is through a door on the left
side of the building. Ring the clerk's office using the buzzer
at the door; a Judicial Marshal will assist with entry from
there.
