The Connecticut Supreme Court
will hear oral arguments in State of Connecticut vs.
Michael Ross on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, tentatively at 3
p.m. in the Supreme Court courtroom, which is located at 231
Capitol Ave. in Hartford. Because the justices of the Supreme
Court will be attending the General Assembly's Joint
Convention, the 3 p.m. start time will change if the Joint
Convention has not concluded by 3 p.m.
Seating will be on a
first-come, first-serve basis, and the courtroom will be
opened to the members of the news media and public at 2 p.m.

Court has granted permission for CT-N (The Connecticut
Network) to record the arguments for later broadcast. Members
of the broadcasting, televising, or recording media interested

plans on bringing a satellite truck to the proceeding must
contact the External Affairs Division by 5 p.m. on Tuesday,
Jan. 4, 2005, so that appropriate arrangements may be made.

Satellite trucks will not be permitted to park on the sidewalk
in front of the courthouse.
Cell phones that have cameras
will not be permitted in the Supreme Court Building. Cell
phones without cameras and pagers must be muted while in the
building. In addition, laptop computers and umbrellas are not
permitted in the courtroom.
