The uncontested dissolution calendars are scheduled on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month subject to availability of a judge. A dissolution date is assigned upon the filing of the Case Management Agreement. Cases are expected to proceed to judgment on the assigned date.

A case may be marked over one time from the initial hearing date as of right by the plaintiff/applicant by notice to the Caseflow Coordinator's office by phone or fax. Thereafter, a case will be continued by the Court to a subsequent calendar only for cause.

With 48 hours notice to the Caseflow Coordinator, an uncontested matter in which a Case Management Agreement has been filed may be scheduled for dissolution at 9:30 AM for any weekday that court is in session.

Limited Contested Matters

Where the Case Management Agreement claims the status of the case is limited contested, the case shall be immediately scheduled for a Special Masters pretrial conference to be held within two (2) months of the date ready listed in the Case Management Agreement. The parties shall timely comply with the filing requirements of C.P.B. Sec. 25-30(b) and (c) for the pretrial conference.

A motion for continuance of a Special Masters pretrial conference shall be submitted in writing to the Caseflow Coordinator's office and will be granted by the Court only for good cause. When a motion for continuance is granted, a final date certain Special Masters pretrial conference shall immediately be scheduled.

Upon completion of the Special Masters pretrial conference, or upon failure of a party to appear for the conference, the case shall be given a date certain trial assignment. Additional Special Masters pretrial conferences may be scheduled privately by the parties. The scheduling of any additional Special Masters pretrials shall not be considered good cause for continuance of a trial assignment.

Failure to participate in or complete a Special Masters pretrial conference shall not be considered good cause for continuance of a trial assignment.

Contested Matters

Where the Case Management Agreement claims the status of the case is contested, the case shall be immediately referred to the Family Relations Office for mediation and/or a report, unless previously referred. Upon receipt of the Family Relations report, the matter shall be scheduled for a Special Masters pretrial conference. The parties shall timely comply with the filing requirements of C.P.B. Sec. 25-30(b) and (c) for the pretrial conference. A trial assignment or referral to the Regional Family Trial Docket shall be made upon completion of the Special Masters pretrial conference. Additional Special Masters pretrial conferences may be scheduled privately by the parties. The scheduling of any additional Special Masters pretrials shall not be considered good cause for continuance of a trial assignment.
